You could call me a culinary canary, constantly smitten just singing in the kitchen. I'm still searching for the norm and avoiding it at all costs. There is something romantic about being lost. At any rate, the rest of me is something that the world, including myself may never see. I've found that life is a risk and I am the sort of person who never wants to say ' I missed...'. Bottom line, I'll ride the cliché for a moment and say, 'live your life like its your last day.' Grammatically speaking, sometimes Im unbearably bearable. I will beg or buy your trust. I find that my finest notes are the ones that still reside within my throat.

    Nilu - Sing For You

    So very random how I came across this artist..my mom’s co-worker’s student plays drums for Nilu and showed my mom this video (that sounds like one of those lame 6 degrees of separation stories).  And of course, my mom ran home to show me.  It’s quite hard for me to really get hooked on female singers, but after I heard the first few seconds of this song, I couldn’t get enough.  Nilu’s voice is powerful and sad, haunting and beautiful.  Her music weighs heavy on your heart, leaving you with a sense of loss and nostalgia.  I’m so eager to hear what else she has for us.  Get on the Nilu train before it’s time for me to say “I told you so…”
